At the MET we aim develop the whole child, inspiring in them the commitment to making positive decisions in their lives. Making healthy choices, both at a physical and nutritional level, starts at a young age. For this reason, we have created a Nutrition Program that is tied to our school's core values, and geared towards offering our students fresh, well balanced meals that not only will improve their academics, but forge healthy habits that will last a life time.
All of our meals are prepared on site, at our school cafeteria. Each menu item is carefully chosen to offer a variety of fresh, healthy food to our students. Each day we offer a morning snack and lunch. Each lunch is accompanied by freshly baked artisan bread, a soup of the day, and an extensive salad bar that includes at least five options of fresh vegetables, and prepared salads. Each day, the bar offers three different salad dressings, fresh fruit, and fruit juice.
During special occasions, the menu may find itself modified to add meals from other cultures, or traditional Panamanian meals.
At the MET we strive to offer meal options to students with dietary needs. We also have daily vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy free menu options. If your child has any dietary needs, please inform the school upon admittance, or contact our school chef at firstname.lastname@example.org.
